About

Launched in 2013 as a TFI fellow’s journey in Mumbai, the Torn Umbrella is now a blog inviting discussion on education and its potential.

As for me, I’m currently working in management consulting. From 2014-16, I taught fifth and sixth grade as a Teach for India fellow in Mumbai, India after graduating from Brown University in 2014 with a degree in Applied Math and Economics.

Since September 2016, this blog and I have been a part of the “Millennial Bloggers” program launched by C.M. Rubin World. Many recent posts have been responses to prompts through this program, allowing me to not only share my views in a new forum but also to learn from the global perspectives of other inspiring millennials.
